SPLOST is an optional one percent county sales tax used to fund capital outlay projects proposed by the county government and participating municipal governments. Citizens, groups and organizations are encouraged to submit a SPLOST application for a project which they feel would be of benefit to the community.

SPLOST Application - Deadline April 28, 2006.

The SPLOST Citizens Advisory Committee will begin accepting applications for proposed projects on Monday, March 13. The deadline to submit completed applications will be Friday, April 28 at 5pm.

The following form can be downloaded, completed and then submitted via email to the Citizens Advisory Committee at poek@floydcountyga.org.

Electronic submissions are preferred. Please be sure to download both sections of the application below. The Appendix is a guide to aid in completing the SPLOST application.

The Committee will begin reviewing projects as they are submitted. A meeting will be scheduled to allow each applicant to present their project to the Committee and answer any questions regarding the proposed project.
