John Mayes is owner and founder of Pro Systems Clean Care, which has been operating in Northwest Georgiafor over 20 years.John and his wife, Assistant Pastore Terri Mayes, are members of Pleasant Grove Baptist, where he serves as Trustee.A past recipient of the Small Business of the Year Award from the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce, John has served as director of Network Associates, YMCA, and Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce.
Mayes now chairs the Floyd County Water, as appointed to in January 2008. Committee. Other boards and commissions on which he serves are: Fire Overview Committee, Rome/Floyd Commission on Children and Youth, Floyd County Library Board, Communities in Schools, and the Rome/Floyd Development Authority.
John is a member of the Rome Rotary, 100 Black Men, serves as a director at Citizens First Bank and is a director on the State Board of Corrections. He is founder and operator of Camp Uncle John, a private retreat designed to reach out to area youth.
