| Commissioner Eddie Lumsden, Vice-Chairman | ||||
|
Eddie is also a retired Georgia State Trooper who retired in 1999 after 27 years of service to Rome, Floyd County and the people of Georgia. Active in his church and community Eddie serves as a Deacon, Decision Counselor, Choir Member and Greeter at West Rome Baptist Church. He is a member of the Armuchee Ruritan Club, Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce and an associate member of the Rome Board of Realtors. Eddie also serves on the State Consumer Affairs Committee. As a Commissioner his committee work includes the Airport Commission/Avionics Program, Fire Overview Committee, Forum/Civic Center Advisory Board, Public Safety Committee, SPLOST Committee, Work Release Committee and the Floyd-Rome Urban Area Transportation Study Policy Committee. He is also the Chairman of the Public Safety Committee. Lumsden was elected Vice-Chairman of the County Commissioners in January 2008.

Eddie Lumsden is an Insurance Agent, Financial Services Representative and a small business owner. He and his wife, Teresa, own and operate Lumsden Insurance Agency in Armuchee. They market State Farm Insurance and Financial Service Products statewide.
